Using tags instead of categories

    Hi,

    My site is used to find places were live bands perform. User can select categories like type-of-music with a wide range of choices (rock, jazz, …), 30 choices in all. This makes the custom search form too big.

    I was thinking of using TAGS instead of categories – and the user can fill in the type of music in the “Search for” input box.

    Do you think this is a good idea.

    I am not sur how the PLACES/TAGS are used in GeoDirectory

    Please advise.

    Hi,

    that will work…

    The Search for query is performed on title, description and taxonomies (tags and categories)
