    Hi,
actually I had planned to go only with my directory next week. About a week ago decided – as recommended by your support staff – to convert from GDV1 to GDV2, since this is the system what will be running in the future.
No my site is converted to GDV2 but … well …. not exactly running. All functionality is gone, all the look is gone and there is no way that I can go online next week. For three days now I have been struggling to somehow getting my site working but with every little problem solved two more problems pop up. CSS codes are not working any more, maps are not loading any listings, the front page is not laoding at all and I am slightly scared of what else is going to cross my way with GDV2.

My business is not going to be able to go online next week. And I am asking you as experienced support members and I would be grateful for an honest response:

    1) Is GDV2 really at a stage where it can work properly or still in a testing mode?

2)How much time is it approx. going to take me to fix all these problems with GDV2 and get my site going again?

    3) Or would you rather recommend that I completely uninstall GDV2 and install GDV1, do all the categories and prices again from scratch, which would take me approx. 2 months.

    4) Do you think that some time in the future the convertion from GDV1 to GDV2 will go smoothely without loss of functionality and all these working hours to get the page going after the switch?

These information are important for me to decide how to get on with this project.
Thanks in advance for your honest response.

Yes, it is all ready for live sites.

2)How much time is it approx. going to take me to fix all these problems with GDV2 and get my site going again?

That depends on what customisations you had. It should take not more than a few hours normally. The steps are outlined here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert

    3) Or would you rather recommend that I completely uninstall GDV2 and install GDV1, do all the categories and prices again from scratch, which would take me approx. 2 months.

It should be a lot simpler to fix up your issues.

    4) Do you think that some time in the future the convertion from GDV1 to GDV2 will go smoothely without loss of functionality and all these working hours to get the page going after the switch?

That is already how it should be.

If you need us to look at your conversion, post your URL and WP admin details of the old site and the staging conversion site and we will have a look if you like.
