Hello,
We were going to test out the V2 beta since the old geodirectory was giving us some issues, and we had to uninstall it in an attempt to fix them anyway. But upon activating the new plugin, we can no longer access the back end of our site. /wp-admin automatically redirects to the home page of the site. We had to go in through FTP to delete the plugin and regain access.
All previous geodirectory plugins have been deleted, along with their data. It doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict either, we deactivated all other plugins before installing and it still happened.
How do we install the new plugin and retain access to our wp admin section?August 27, 2018 at 5:53 pm #444223This shouldn’t happen and we can’t recreate it.
Please provide a link + wp admin and FTP credentials in a private reply and we will follow up.
Thanks

Did this site previously have V1 installed?
Was it uninstalled completely? For testing purposes we recommend you setup a staging or test site, is that what this is?
September 19, 2018 at 3:27 pm #446994This site did have V1 previously installed, yes, when I uninstalled it I chose for it to delete all data for itself and it’s additional plugins.
This is a site that’s in development to replace our current site, so it’s not a test site specifically for the plugin, no. We have backups available though if we need them.
September 19, 2018 at 3:30 pm #446995So, in case it becomes necessary, is it ok to flip on/off the themes and plugins to identify a conflict?

September 19, 2018 at 3:51 pm #446998I have actually tried deactivating everything and changing the theme to the “Twenty Seventeen” theme by wordpress, and the plugin’s activation still broke the backend, so it doesn’t seem to be a conflict there. But yes, you can do that sort of thing when trying to figure it out.
Also, I have made sure that I’ve downloaded the most recent version of V2 (September 12th update).Since you don’t have FTP access, I’ll check here often incase you need me to delete the plugin from the backend.
Thanks for the help!
September 19, 2018 at 4:33 pm #447011We need FTP access to be able to check the debug log, or we won’t be able to debug anything.
Thanks
September 19, 2018 at 4:43 pm #447013I cannot grant that to you unless you make an account on our host’s website and become a collaborator on the project. I believe I would have to send a link to an email to do this, so if you are willing to make an account, let me know what email to send it to.
I can access the FTP, if you tell me where it’s located I can attach it to my reply.September 19, 2018 at 4:51 pm #447015This reply has been marked as private.October 17, 2018 at 2:43 pm #450090This reply has been marked as private.October 17, 2018 at 4:08 pm #450112This reply has been marked as private.October 18, 2018 at 7:20 am #450246Hi Benjamin,
