A. On the location archive page :
https://yopune.com/location/india/maharashtra/pune/Competition coaching CPT section on the page (at the bottom) shows FIVE listings
B. On advanced search page using near my location:
https://yopune.com/search-loc/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_compt_coaching&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=18.56868404530326&sgeo_lon=73.90995866699221&near=meOnly ONE listing is shown for competition coaching CPT. (my near search radius in GD>general>search is currently set at 30000km – it was earlier 30 km and result was the same)
C. On using the proximity search distance, set at 24 km:
Also, it shows only ONE result.
D. Another time, I tried setting the location near me, somehow it failed (?), and it showed this URL – ie near but without lat/long
Now, it shows still ONE result, but a DIFFERNET one from B&C above.
1)Could you please check and let me know why is there this difference when all the 5 result shown in the city, are actually within 24km of my location.
2) On the location page, I have set to show 4 listings in grid 4, yet I am seeing 5 listings there? (tried both with 4 inside “4” and without , still seeing 5 )
3) in the search results page, somehow my template is changing to have the main sidebar on the right instead of left, while I have not changed the template. I also set override template in settings to 3 columns for archives in the GD>Settings> designs> archives (other archive pages are showing fine in 3 column template, only search messes up). It did correct to 3 column after I set this setting yesterday, but today it is back with main sidebar on the right.
4) in the search results (and archives) I see the view: Grid3 selection, I want the default to be set for Grid 3 and not to show the selection to the user. How can I do that? Thanks very much for sorting out this issue – I have checked the addresses and locations are correct, yet the results are strange!

I can see those locations are within 30km, and I cannot see why they would not show up in the results.
The developers have been alerted and will take a look asap.
Thanks 🙂

After doing some investigation found that it is BuddyPress Global Search(buddypress-global-search) plugin that breaks GeoDirectory search functionality.
BuddyPress Global Search is not compatible with GeoDirectory search. See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#bp-global-search
Thanks,
KiranMarch 18, 2019 at 11:15 am #475112Hi Kiran, thanks for the update.
Is this a conflict that can be reasonably fixed by a developer? As i do need to have the search functionality across WP posts, BP group activity and GD listings, which the BuddyPress Global Search plugin offers.
Can you suggest any other option, any other plugin which can allow this?
Or can a developer fix this conflict?thanks!
March 18, 2019 at 5:50 pm #475170Hi Vivek,
sorry, it’s not an easy fix or we would have integrated the fix into GD already. A developer might be able to accomplish it.
April 6, 2019 at 4:41 am #478799I’m in the same boat regarding search results on our site, plantswap.org
Is there a fix for this in the works yet? I know v2 is still new, but BuddyPress Global Search is important for our site and I’d hate to think your premium plugin is incompatible with it! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
