Videos not working in Listings

I asked this question in one of my previous posts but it wasn’t getting a response so I figured I would post a new thread about it.

When submitting a listing and inputting the youtube embed code in the “Video” tab, then clicking “review your listing” it takes me to a preview page with no content, therefore not allowing a listing with a video to be posted. I tried it with a Vimeo video as well and this time it posted the listing but the video tab was not visible.

It is very important for the demographic that uses my site to be able to embed videos. Is this something the is a bug within the GD plugin or just something I am experiencing?

Either way some assistance would be immensely appreciated!

Hi,

I just tested here : http://wpgeo.directory/attractions/united-states/illinois/chicago/landmark/willis-tower/

video appeared in preview and it appears both in video tab and sidebar in the pubblished page.

Are you using the embed code?

Yes I am using the embed code. Tried both the old (<object>) and new (<iframe>) YouTube embedding format.

Works fine for some sites I know off. Can you provide some links.

Have you checked your settings for the custom field: is the custom field set to show on the detail page?

The problem isn’t the video, the problem is the preview page that isn’t working correctly.

I’m reporting this to Vikas as I can’t seem to find an obvious fix.

I see you went into the listing via the WP back-end (Events > Listing) then added the youtube embed code there. I have tried this too and it worked for me as well.

However if you try to add a new listing or edit an existing listing through the front end, that is when the error occurs.

I think Vikas has some new files he wants to test in your Events addon.
I’ll check with him later to see whether he can just send them to you for testing.
