    Hi,

We used to have the ability to modify the text, add links, etc. in the Profile listing box, suddenly that is all gone. How is a merchant supposed to edit their profile content (make words bold, different colors, links etc.)…?

Please explain how this is supposed to work?

    Hi,

    that option is in:

GeoDIrectory > Design > Listings > Add Listing Form Settings > Show description field as editor.

    Thanks

One other related question…How about the HTML Editing Options for Special Offers? How do we enable that to have HTML Options?

There is no such option, only the description field can have an editor, loading 2 editors on the same page would result on very slow loading time.

    Thanks

No that’s not true. GeoTheme had two editors. One for the Listing Description and one for the Special Offers.

AGAIN, how many merchants do you know of that know how to use RAW HTML code for the purposes of creating their Special Offers? I don’t one of them and we deal with 100’s of them each month!

Please forward this to Stiofan and ask him to add this back to the Special Offers area.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi,

it was not added on GD because it was slow on GT, but also because there is nothing that impose you to allow formatting in special offers.

Infact, in the past years nobody ever requested such thing, if it was that important, many would have asked for it.

FYI, We don’t add features because GT had them or because 1 member says so.

If you think this can’t miss, submit a feature request : here

If many other members will vote for it, we will consider it.

    Thanks

    Paolo,

What do you mean that there is nothing that impose you to allow formatting in special offers? Please clarify what you mean by that.

Who are you expecting to create the merchants special offers? Us or them? We expect them to create their own special offers. With this being the fact, please explain how a merchant is to create a special offer with nothing more than a text box?

Are you expecting them to hire someone else to create their special offers for them? They’re not going to do that!

This is about as useless as a map that does not offer navigation directions on a smartphone.

Explain to me how a merchant is going to format this area of their listing?

Actually I’m saying something totally wrong.

There is an option to activate the advanced editor on GD too.

Go to GeoDirectory >> Place Settings, double click on the Special Offer text area and enable : show advance editor.

    Thanks
