Hi support and user out there,

the issue to be solved is – How to get a fast site loading, even by using more then only the gd plugins (Which are also about 16 GD plugins in use and about 54 other plugins for multisite, multilingual and forum with support approach in total 70 activated). The requirements are fast loading time in under 2 seconds.

    1. I tried to use GD Booster, but there was no effect for faster loading or file compression solution. To may solve those issues I created this thread and hope to solve those problems related.

I found also a statement in forum from Paolo that no other solution would work.

BUT The big question is – Why does no other cache plugin is working or can be used with Geodirectory?

    2. I tried to use WP super cache, but it was not compatible with wp multisite and also the effect was not to mention. The missing part is no CDN delivery of static data.

    3. Then I tried W3Total Cache which which is by far too complex and also did not delivered results requested.

    4. Then I tried WP Rocket, which also causes problems in case of not caching the front page. Here a statement from wp rocket support

Why the front page of your site would not be cached. Turns out the DONOTCACHEPAGE constant gets set for that page by another plugin (related to Geolocation, I assume). When I temporarily overrode the constant through a MU plugin, the front page got minified and cached just fine.

To get more details about cache solutions use this link

THE BIG QUESTION NOW IS – Is there anyone out there – who found a workable solution for fast GeoDirectory site approach?

I wish that gd booster can solve my open issues stated in other thread, but at least I want to make sure, that if there are other solutions out there which may act better we should give a try.

    Looking forward to your advices.

    Thanks, Alex

    Hi Alex,

GD Booster in its next release will add CDN support.
The DONOTCACHEPAGE constant will be removed in the next release.

Other caching solutions were inherently not compatible with GD as it often had dynamic content, we are trying to move away from this and have all urls be specific and non dynamic, in the future maybe other caching solutions will work better with GD.

I will comment on your other post about specifics relating to your site.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
