With regard to Geo directory category

Thanks for the response.
i am going thru the documentation @ this part https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/design/gd-categories/.
I do not find the categories option. Whereas i find an categories option in Places . Under Places / Place Categories. Are these 2 same ?

Yes, categories are in Places (CPT) -> Categories.

GD Categories is an element you can use in your page design.
