I have been working with this for a couple of months and this is still related to a previous topic (https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/featured-image-duplicating-on-every-import-with-wp-all-import/)

Our system synchronizes with listing updates from an XML file daily and each time it runs the import, all images are duplicated.

We are a week away from our launch date and I would like this resolved before launching if possible as obviously the file storage and duplicate images in the listing slideshow will grow out of control very quickly.

How can I get the import to NOT duplicate the images each time the import runs?

Why not setup another job without images?

Because if the client adds new images in their system, they wont get added?

So, your idea is that the importer should skip existing images and only import new images?

Yes, but I would even be happy with removing all related images before import. Just can’t have them duplicating each time.

Hi, removing existing images won’t be an option for now but I’ve added a task to skip existing images and hopefully an update will be available before you launch. Thanks.

Hello. Checking in again as we are still getting duplicated images that we have to manually manage. Any chance of a solution soon?

We have worked on this but we have some other priorities.

When there is an update we will post here.
