Hi – after upgrading to GeoDirectory 1.5.6, for some reason I am unable to access the registration/login screen. Clicking on the login in link just reloads the home page.
I tried installing the plugin on a test server, and noticed that that URL was …/gd-login/?signup=1, where on the live site the URL is …/?geodir_signup=true&signup=1. Could that be the problem? Do you have any idea what might be causing that?
Thank you for any help you can provide!
February 3, 2016 at 10:05 pm #116700Can you check your pages at GD > GD Tools > GD pages check
Also check if you have all pages connected at GD > PermalinksIt looks like you skipped a few versions.
Post your URL and admin details in a private reply if you cannot solve it and we will have a look for you.February 5, 2016 at 5:05 am #117466That did the trick – thank you!
One other issue that popped up is that I am unable to get auto-updates to work on the add-ons. Looking through some other threads, I see that there is a new licensing setup, but mine still asks for username/password. I double-checked that those were up to date. Do you know how I can correct that?
Thanks so much for your help.
February 5, 2016 at 12:17 pm #117565Can you check your versions at GD > GD Tools > Run expire check.

Make sure to add your old licence key in GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates.
You will find the old licence key here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/mcprod/
Then try again to update.
Also beware that your hosting plan is not fully compatible with GeoDirectory. if you don’t want to go through plenty of glitches that we can’t solve because of their internal caching system, I strongly suggest to move out to a VPS or a cloud service that allows to disable any server side caching system. Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/
Thanks
February 6, 2016 at 1:13 am #118026Oops, I meant “Clear all GD version numbers” in GD Tools.
February 10, 2016 at 4:57 pm #120538Hi – I tried using the “Clear all version numbers” tool, and I am still not able to update the add-ons. I don’t see a place in my GD install to enter the license number (the Auto Updates setting asks for my GD username/password). Do you know of anything else I could try?
I appreciate all of your help.
February 10, 2016 at 5:27 pm #120545Hi,
are you updating from very old versions?
I’ve activated an old subscription for you to have an old licence key.
You should be able to enter your username (mcprod) and licence key that you find here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/mcprod/ in GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates.
If that doesn’t work, we will have to update at least 1 add-on manually via FTP. In that case we will need a link, admin and FTP credentials.
Let us know,
Thanks
February 10, 2016 at 6:54 pm #120568Using the old license instead of a passwords seems to have fixed it. I am also now able to add the new license keys.
Thanks so much for your patient help!
February 10, 2016 at 6:57 pm #120570You are welcome 🙂
