Hi,
I think that in the near future theme designers will decide to integrate our plugin by default like they do with woocommerce and few other plugins.
However it is still too early and that’s not going to happen unless our users start floading their contact forms requesting them to adapt their theme for GeoDirectory.
In the mean time we intend to move on and do it ourself at least for the most popular themes.
We will start with :
Avada : http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/2833226
Enfold : http://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990
Please let us know which theme you wish to see fully compatible with GeoDirectory in this thread. The most requested will be taken into consideration.
In the mean time, at the beginning of next week, we will release GD Framework for all those wanting a theme specifically built around GeoDirectory.
Thank you!
May 5, 2014 at 12:40 am #1263Well, since I’m Avada user, I vote for Avada!
May 5, 2014 at 1:26 am #1264I vote for X.

May 5, 2014 at 9:26 am #1279Well i have been using geo theme for almost an year and now geodir plugin. I must say its really poorly coded and poorly documented when compared to products available on themeforest. first they need to meet the quality standards of premium themes. And i wont mind paying double price for well coded plugin . I hope you would include some really knowledgeable coder into your team in near future
May 5, 2014 at 9:33 am #1280Interesting. What do you mean poorly coded? Security holes?
May 5, 2014 at 9:35 am #1281Hi Paolo,
Do you mean we can now use the new framework you’re about to release on a live site and just use the child themes later? Is the framework also designed for Avada, Enfold and others?
May 5, 2014 at 11:34 am #1285Avada or X +1
May 5, 2014 at 12:24 pm #1286@liquidia If you are going to say something is poorly coded I think you owe it to the community and the developers to give some examples of what you are talking about. Considering the time that went into GD and continues to go into its development (it was just released for crying out loud) and the fact that it has been accepted into the WP Plugin database I find it highly dubious that the coding is poor.
May 5, 2014 at 1:08 pm #1287@liquidia I am also interested to know why you think that? We take security very seriously and i personally have hack tested both our products, so i don’t think you can be referring to security issues. I actually have no idea why you would say that. As for documentation, we have video documentation for most GeoTheme settings and we plan the same for GeoDirectory, we have been building our documentation and if you need anything that is not listed all you have to do is request it and we will either write a full spec and/or make a video tutorial. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/
I hope you respond with details of such claims otherwise it seems like you are just trying to damage our reputation.
Thanks,
Stiofan
@justmark i need to add a thank button to this forum so i can thank you for your comment 🙂May 5, 2014 at 1:43 pm #1290May 5, 2014 at 3:42 pm #1297Hi Liquidia,
can you tell us what your qualification are to express such a strong judgement? Can you please give us some references of themes or plugins that you have personally coded to see what is your standard for a well coded wordpress component?
Please also try to remain on topic if possible (we asked what themes we should make compatible here) and if you want to express your judgement on our work, feel freee to do it, but please try to do it in constructive way, backing up your claim with objectivity and as many examples as possible.
Otherwise as Stiofan says it seems like you are just trying to damage our reputation and in such case, you would see your account terminated very very soon.
Thank you,
Paolo
May 5, 2014 at 6:13 pm #1304well i was just telling my experience. i have no association with any of your rival i am just a web/graphic designer. as for geotheme i was refused by many managed hosting services as code was conflicting with their cache system and theme was using server sessions etc which considered to be unsafe.
2. I added just over 250 cities and it crashed moreover some weird messages popped up (property could not be found etc)that has nothing to do with theme that gave me sense that geotheme based on some property listing related scripts.
As for new plugin I am facing issues with custom fields they are not saving data and i reinstalled it like 10 times and everytime new issue crop up like edit listing link not working and few more issues. it works fine on shared server but not on linode not sure why i am not sure how it will perform but there is no detail documentation which we can refer.
Having said that if there would be any better alternative out there i wouldn’t be here.
There are many customer willing to pay more for this plugin rather than wasting time on these issues.
