Site Went Down

    Hi,
    when wordpress updates it creates a maintenace file on the root of your website. If you reload the page before update is 100% done, that file is not removed.

    That is something you’ll have to ask your hosting provider to help with…
    There is really nothing we can do about that.

    Actually the site came back to life on its own. Although, I still have 17 updates available. All but one is from Geodirectory. I’m trying to update them one by one but they’re failing.

    I’m on the old Auto Update system and it says to use the OLD license key, so I did. I don’t think anything really happened.

    Hi Paolo,

    I’m trying to locate the .maintenance file in Filezilla. Any idea which folder it would be under? I’m looking under Geodriectory_framework and don’t see anything with the word .maintenance.

    Also, I’ve switched to a brand new computer and had to download Filezilla. Will everything from my last computer already be in Filezilla or do I need to transfer specific files over? Thanks.

    In the root of your website. where wp-content, wp-admin and wp-includes are.

    Let us know if you can’t find it, in that case please provide FTP credentials and we will have a look.

    Filezilla is just a client that communicates with a server from your desktop, it doesn’t hold any files.
