I have a couple of changes to the language in the language file, do I copy this over to my child theme? I tried coping this to my geodirectory folder in my child theme, but I don’t see my changes.

    Hi,

    pls see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

The mo file for the core plugin must be saved in this path: /wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-en_US.mo

    For add-ons please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

Let us know how you went,

    Thanks

Sorry I don’t think I was really clear what I was asking. I’m not looking for translations. I just want to change the wording of when you add a listing and under the tags it says: “Tags are short keywords, with no space within.(eg: tag1, tag2, tag3) Up to 5 characters only for this package.” I would to edit that wording.

    HI,

translating or rephrasing is done the same way, via translation file.

Just keep it as “en_US” and avoid changing the language in WordPress.

But it still needs to be saved in that path.

    Thanks

Hi Paolo, I was able to change Popular Categories to something else. But I am not able to change the wording of Tags are short keywords, with no space within.(eg: tag1, tag2, tag3) Up to 40 characters only on the add listing page.

It is there in the core language file, see image.

If you the prices addon you will also need to look in that language file for

Tags are short keywords, with no space within.(eg: tag1, tag2, tag3) Up to %d characters only for this package.

    Hi Guust,

That’s what it was. Sorry I didn’t know it was also inside the price language file too. Thank you so much for the help!
