is there a way to get rid of the popular places title? for example if you go to http://sarcp.net/care-homes/ it says “Popular Places” we would just like to get rif of that title as the committee thinks it looks like an unfair advantage for some care homes listed when they are all equal members of the association

is it aslo possible to get rid of the latest places column from this page. they just basically want to be able to search by name, postcode or care category and not to look like they are pushing certain care homes they are all equal members and should only be shown if the category or location is searched.

    Hi,

popular place in that case is a default widget title, that you can change to anything you want. If you want to get rid of it, just add a blank space in the title field.

If you want you can remove the entire list, just remove the widget.

The latest places in the sidebar is a widget too, so you can just remove it too.

You will find them in Appearance >> Widgets >> GD Home Top Section and GD Home Right Section.

More info about GD pages layout can be found here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/

    Thank you

brilliant thats worked thank you very much. lastly we have added categories for the places e.g Residential care, Nursing Care. so you can click on these to see all the homes in that category but is there a way to click on the category and search by postcode aswell or is it just category or postcode search not both together.

    Hi,

in that case you need to use the search form with the advance search add-on that will allow you to search by category and zip code at the same time.

    Please see:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/search-filters-overview/

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/advanced-search-filters-addon-search-by-distance/

Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks
