I would like to add a menu to my website so that users can search a list of all the places on the map. Currently my homepage only shows a few popular listings.

I am finding it really hard to find useful documentation on this.

I want to add a menu to the GD right section – used for side bar widgets.

However when creating a menu, I am not able to add categories. And when I add a GD> CPT Categories widget nothing happens.

Could you please help me add a page or menu for the full listing.

Lastly how do you format these boxes (attached in pic) when clicking on the geo directory map?

    Many Thanks,

    Rosie

Hi Rosie, have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/ to learn more abou the GD Search widget. More about widgets here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/

Make sure to select “Place categories” in the “screen options” when creating menus at Appearance > Menus, see image.

When adding the GD> CPT Categories widget, check the two boxes in the bottom of the widget, that is probably why nothing shows.

If you want to see a complete listing of all your GD locations and categories, add this to a WP page:

    [gd_cpt_categories]
    [gd_location_switcher]

To format the map bubbles, it all depends what you want to change.

If you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, then we can probably give more pointers.

    Thanks

The menu shows as the secondary menu up the top because you selected that at Appearance > Menus .
It shows also in the sidebar, because you added the same menu in a custom menu widget.

    Thanks
