panels for events

I have added Events but realize that is does not have a separate top, bottom or side panel for events. Right now it just uses the same as places. How do I change this?

Have a look at this:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#logic

That will allow you to use different widgets on the Listings/category pages depending on the CPT.
