Hi support,
My directory is staying in grid view and isn’t being responsive. I can see from this post that the listing should automatically go into a single listing but as mentioned my site crunches up the four column grid into a single phone width.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
Tom
May 22, 2018 at 12:58 pm #431626You have added a width to the widget it seems:
Remove “23” from Appearance > Widgets > GD Home Content section > Popular Post View widget > Listing width:See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post
Thanks
May 22, 2018 at 1:07 pm #431627Thanks Guust,
I added that width as on desktop view it doesn’t go into four columns and four posts – the fourth one goes onto the next line. See screengrab. I didn’t realise this effected the mobile view. Is it possible to get the four listings on desktop on the one line?
Cheers
Tom
May 22, 2018 at 3:05 pm #431639Hi Ralph,
Thanks for your post. I’ve just tested your Website on my mobile and it works fine. Check out the attached image.
Thanks!
May 22, 2018 at 10:45 pm #431702Kor, the issue is not in mobile view now, but desktop. I think you just need to tweak the padding between the listings, but I don’t have access to a computer for the moment to check the CSS.
ThanksMay 23, 2018 at 2:20 am #431709Hey guys,
Sorry for overlooking this. I’ve just inspected your Website and I’m able to see four columns fit nicely on your homepage. Could you tell me the screensize you’re using?
Thanks!
May 23, 2018 at 8:58 am #431755Same here, all seems to be correct?
May 25, 2018 at 11:31 am #432118Hi guys,
Thanks for coming back to me. I’m still having a real issue with the 4th column on desktop. I’m on a big screen but collapsing it and even with different browsers the 4th entry breaks onto the next line. Is there anything I can try? What could be causing this for me?
Hope you can help!!
Cheers
Tom
May 25, 2018 at 12:25 pm #432125Looks good here on chrome.
Please tell us about the OS and browser so we can check it.
Don’t forget to clear your browser cache.
May 25, 2018 at 3:29 pm #432158Hi Alex,
I’m on Chrome but have tested on Firefox and Safari and it is the same on all. I am on a Mac, do you think this would make a difference? All browser cache is clear and I have purged the cache through our host but it is still the same. See my four browsers attached…
Thanks
Tom
May 25, 2018 at 4:03 pm #432170I’m on Win10 and tested with Chrome, Firefox and Edge and it looks right from here.
May 25, 2018 at 11:57 pm #432221If it looks right for all of us but not for you, that suggests your WPengine caching is the culprit.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/#wpTry de-activiating ALL caching, or view the site as a visitor in an incognito window.
If need be, post your WP admin details but we will most likely not have access to your WP engine settings.
May 29, 2018 at 11:32 am #432575Hi Guust,
When I view the site in incognito mode I still have the same problem. I spoke to WP Engine and they said they can’t uncache the whole site, but if the developers of the plugin were able to specify a specific cookie or path to uncache then it may be possible.
Does that make sense to you?
Happy to send a WP login if you need that!
Hope you guys can help!!!
Cheers
Tom
