I am getting a unspecified HTTP Error Only when uploading from Frontend (Client Upload Experience). Only a couple of other non-GD plugins installed. Tried disabling those = No change. Please Advise.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for your post. Before we investigate this further, could you go through this article and see if it helps? https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-http-image-upload-error-in-wordpress/ . An “HTTP Error” is usually a server related issue.

    Thanks!

Thanks. I have been through this article. And still have this issue. Images upload fine from the backend, or using the WP Media. No issues there. Only with the frontend uploader.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for your reply. Kindly share your FTP access in private reply and I’ll pass this along to a developer. In the meantime, kindly consult your hosting provider and ask them to check the error logs.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

There seems to be a problem with your domain.

Try using BSR to update your DB for your domain.

If you want www, then make sure all URLs have www, or vice versa.

Can you help with an example of where there is a mismatch of URLs?

disabling the wp hide plugin fixed the problem.

It is probably trying to rewrite URL of uploads too.

    Thanks

Thank you. Just so I am clear, I do not have a problem with or need to do anything to fix domain URLs? Other than getting rid of the WP Hide?

    Thanks again.

WP Hide appears to me to be the only problem.

I couldn’t find URL conflicts anywhere, but maybe Alex did and he’ll let us know.

Anyway, with WP Hide disabled the front end upload works fine.

It could also be possible that WP Hide has settings to allow the upload to work without having to get rid of it.

But that is something you should ask to the support team of that plugin.

    Thanks

The link you shared has www in it, but on login I was redirected to the naked domain without www.
