Hi support team,

formerly (at geotheme) there was a widget available to select by PT custom categories (places, events, etc) screenshot – http://screencast.com/t/N6FB8mnPzaq or URL: http://gamma.worldcheckin.com/

This was helpful in case of selection of listings which have no category within main page or within menu. If someone lists an item a corresponding category was shown to select for.

How am I able to enable that now within geotheme too?

Hi,

GeoDirectory isn’t GeoTheme. It provides different widgets.

Hi Paolo,

I understand, but how would you enable a search by selection of a subcategory regarding your instructions Understanding Places, Categories, Listings and Custom Post Types if a menu item is not existing?

CTP=Place > Cat=Restaurant > sub-cat=French > Listing=L´escargot
e.g. searching by category selection for French Restaurant?

The only widget we provide for that is the popular categories widget. Sub catgeories appear in that too.

Otherwise you can built your own navigation with categories as top level menus and sub categories as sub menus.
