Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me or point me in the right direction. I am using the Supreme theme. I have created an additional page “Home” that I want to use as the front-page. I created the page with Beaver Builder. When I change the homepage in Geodirectory > Permalinks > GD Hompage and Settings > Reading > Homepage the page gets changed and the styling gets altered. It also adds a hero etc to the page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
November 20, 2018 at 3:42 am #455108Hi Jayson,
Thanks for your post. If you only need to customize the homepage, this can be done using GD shortcodes and page builder. Could you share your WP admin access here so that we could check out what you’ve done there?
Thanks!

I checked the site and I see you have set the same page as the WP Front page and as GD Home.
In GDV1, it is not possible to use a builder on the template pages. These include GD Home, Add Listing page, or Location page.
Instead, set a different blank page as GD Home. Then use your builder on the WP Front Page, adding GD shortcodes as you like.
To make the most of GD, then proceed to add widgets to the GD Home widget areas. These widget will then populate the GD Home and Location pages with your listings.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/If you are really interested in using a builder on GD Pages, you can consider upgrading to GDV2, which allows the use of a builder on the Location and Detail and Listing/Archive pages.
November 20, 2018 at 4:39 pm #455219I created a blank Front-page and styled it with beaver builder (see screenshot 1) but when I set the homepage in Geodirectory and WP reading settings it removes the styling (see screenshot 2).
Is that the normal behavior, or am I missing something?
November 20, 2018 at 4:57 pm #455228Yes that is normal, you should not set the GD Home as your home page if you want to keep your style.
Please review: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
Thanks
November 20, 2018 at 5:11 pm #455234I have set the homepage to my stylized page (in both GD and WP Reading settings) but it keeps being displayed as the second screenshot.
Any ideas?

Also, settings it as the GD Home is exactly what we told you that is wrong.
Your custom page should only be set as home in WordPress Reading settings as explained in the doc that I linked earlier.
Let us know,
Thanks
November 20, 2018 at 5:25 pm #455244Thanks for your quick reply. It was my understanding that I had to set the homepage in both GD and Reading settings. It is working fine now.
Thanks for your help.
