I changed the default CPT description of places to be products (see attached image). (I also changed the descriptions of associated terms eg Products, Product, Add Product…)

This is fine, except GD’s top front end menu still says Add Place.

When i tried to change the name of the page to Add Product (from Add Listing), GD wouldn’t recognize the page, even though i specified it as the page to look at in GD > Settings > Pages > Add listing page.

I had to change the name of the page back to Add Listing, so that when i clicked the Add Place menu item, the form to add a place (or in my case product) would come up.

    So i have two questions/requests:

    1) Could the menu reflect the name of the CPT description or add listing page name rather than the word “Place”?

    2) Could the add listing page name be whatever you specify, rather than Add Listing?

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post. You can create a custom menu https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/themes-creating-a-menu/ and assign it using the method here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation

    Thank you, Kor.

That was a very simple fix. Once i looked at the existing menu under Appearance, all i had to do was change the description!
