    Hi,
I have installed Geo Directory on a new website, currently password protected. I got an PI key (without restrictions for the moment), added billing information, added the API key in Geo directory (desing > maps) and I also installed the Maps API key-plugin.
When I try to add a new place I still get the error that maps could not be loaded. Geocoding not successful, REQUEST_DENIED.
Tried to deactivate the Maps API key plugin, even deleted it, same result.

Do you have any ideas oon how to fix this?

    Thanks a lot!
    Stefanie

Hi Stefanie, sounds like your site is not HTTPS?

Did you use the button in the maps settings to generate a new API Key?
Your key may not have all the necessary APIs enabled.

If it still doesn’t work, kindly share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and we’ll check the console errors.

    Thanks!

I had a similar issue because Geocoding was not enabled with Google. Go to your Google Console > API and go to those that are disabled and enable Geocoding.

    Hi Beth,

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hi spiderwebmarketing,

Could you try the suggestion from Beth above and see if it helps?

Next time use the GeoDirectory Generate Key button to make sure all the required APIs are included.

Glad you got it working 🙂
