Normal Website Search Not Working

    Hi guys,

    The normal wordpress search for the site isn’t working anymore. I get a 500 error when I try and use the normal search form.

    I have installed the plugin and it then works fine, just doesn’t work when GeoDirectory is installed.

    Is there anyway to get them both to work independently on the site. So the normal wordpress search form will search the normal article side of the site, and the geodirectory one searchs the listings as it does?

    Hi SP,

    Thanks for your post. This isn’t a known issue and we’d need to check your WP admin backend to troubleshoot this further. Could you provide your WP admin access in private reply so that we could check on it? In the meantime, you can try deactivating all non-gd plugins and see if it fixes the issue you had there.

    You have customized the theme to replace the search function with something called “Ajax Search Lite”

    GD Search works alongside WP Search without any issues. If you disable those customizations and just work with the basic Supreme you can see that, as shown here https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/

    There seems to be a problem with the WP install. Even if no plugins are activated the 500 happens on search.

    You can try debugging the 500. If it is a new site consider reinstalling WP and starting with GDV2

    Ok, so the search is working again. I updated both themes. I also reinstalled wordpress and geodirectory, but now the geodirectory search isn’t working lol i tried to put it in the sidebar just to test both searches and it just comes up as a grey bar with nothing else there?

    Any ideas? Everyting is up to date now as wel
