Widget area "Listing top section" is missing

Hello,

I am trying to add a map to the top of my listings page but I don’t see the widget section to add the map widget. See attachment

Hi Rodney,

Thanks for your post. Just inspected the screenshot and could you check and see if you’ve activated the GD addon? If you did, kindly share your Website WP admin access here and we’ll troubleshoot this further for you.

Hello,

you are using GDV2. In the future please post to the appropriate V2 subforum so we can advise you better.

GDV2 does not come with Widget areas. You will need to make use of the widget areas in your theme or add more using a 3rd party plugin.

It doesn’t make much sense to remove the map as the default display choice. The map is the “geo” portion of geodirectory.

You can add any widget you like to any of the sidebars in your theme.
Many GD widgets have options that allow them to be displayed only on GD pages.
Try adding a GD > Map widget to your sidebar and set it for display on the Detail page, or, add a map to your GD Templates.

Adding cat_filter=”1″ as listed below would add the option to filter map locations by category, correct?
