I’ve been attempting to run a few trial uploads of listings to make sure I’m ready for switching staging over to live, but they won’t import. Not sure why. It keep’s saying the listings were updated.
Also, categories won’t save for me.
Thanks,

please see our recommended process here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/#recommendedTo import from V1, you will need to take your export from V1 and merge it into a CSV exported from your V2 site, and then load your images to the folder location shown at the end of the import.
March 19, 2019 at 12:32 pm #475331That is what I was trying initially, although another issue has been fixed in the meantime and the categories now work.
I’ll try again when I can and let you know if it now works.
Thanks,
MarkMarch 19, 2019 at 3:55 pm #475374Still not working correctly, I decided to just try an export, duplicate a record and reupload it. It actually added a listing this time but it’s missing nearly all information after address.
Strangely enough when I try to upload the previous sheet it confirmed it updated listings but I still can’t see them.
Let me know what you need.
Thanks,

March 20, 2019 at 12:59 pm #475527Hi Alex, sorry I should of clarified it a bit better.
I’ve followed the linked documentation and set up GeoDirectory mostly, the remaining changes are cosmetic and not structural. I’ve also added my custom post type as well as custom fields and imported my categories.
The general overview is that it is set up.
I’ve also tried following the suggested recommended importing procedure which failed before doing my previous post.

I’ve created listings, exported them, opened with OpenOffice Calc (I believe you refer to it as LibreOffice Calc), gathered data from a previous export from the old Directory, transferred it column by column.
When uploading it seems fine and even suggests it’s updated when re-uploading the .csv but the listings don’t show up on neither the front or back end.
Hope that clears up what I mean.
Thanks again, Mark.
March 20, 2019 at 8:34 pm #475593I tested and I don’t see any missing info in the import. Do you?
March 21, 2019 at 10:17 am #475693The one’s you have done is fine. Concerned why it’s not working for me then.
What are the deliminator settings on Calc for you?
I had it set as the image attached

March 21, 2019 at 5:01 pm #475746Tried changing the character set too, that didn’t work.
I’ve attached the file I am trying to upload using the recommended import settings and same character set, as well as other options.
I know it’s not really support and I appreciate your help but I genuinely can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Thanks,

I took a single row, changed title to test and it worked for me. I also exported and compared row headers (always gotta do that).March 22, 2019 at 9:57 am #475885Yes I am, I did the same process but if I’m trying to add more, they just aren’t showing. Not sure what’s going on to be honest
March 22, 2019 at 11:44 am #475891I’ve just downloaded the CSV, opened with OpenOffice Calc, copied and pasted your listing, altered the ID and Title and tried to upload it.
Nothing new was shown
