Bug: Elementor Single Templates cannot be applied to GD URLs because they’re not Pages, with the exception of Location.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a Single Page Template and apply it to all pages.
https://docs.elementor.com/article/354-creating-a-single-post-template2. It is applied to everything, including /location, but not to /places, /places/*, etc. This is because only /location is an actual page, while /places, /places/* arent.
Including elements from the Single Page Template into GD Archive, GD Details, etc., does NOT work.
April 23, 2019 at 11:28 am #482274Right, you need to use the Elementor theme builder feature.

https://elementor.com/theme-builder/April 23, 2019 at 9:00 pm #482401Hi Alex,
I’ve read both links. Can you please be a bit more specific becasue I still don’t know how to solve this.
[Header] – applied to all pages
[Footer] – applied to all pages
[page title and breadcrumb] – applied to all pages via Single Page TemplateSo every page from GD has a header and a footer, but no page title and breadcrubm (using these features as example). Locations, places, listings… they don’t have any element from the Single Page Template.
How exactly should we add them? Because adding them to GD Archive, GD Details does not work, at least not with Elementor.
April 23, 2019 at 11:18 pm #482419It’s confusing because Elementor is both a Page builder and a Theme builder. You’re giving conflicting information on https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/builders/
On one hand you say:
“Page builders can be used on the GD Location page but are not supported for use on the GD Archive Item, GD Archive, GD Detail, and GD Search page templates.”So we can’t use Elementor to customize these templaes.
But on the same page:
“Theme Builders can be used to edit the GD Archive Item, GD Archive, GD Detail, and GD Search page templates.
Beaver Themer
Elementor Pro Theme Builder
”Ok so we should use Elementor. Well, which one is it?
You also say in the middle “Elementor Use GD Widgets for building.” Wow exactly do we do this?
An example would be so much better and simpler to comprehend. A 5 min video of you customizing any of these pages with Elementor would be great.
April 24, 2019 at 7:53 pm #482661Elementor Pro has a specific feature called Theme Builder. See the product page or contact Elementor support if you need clarification.
April 24, 2019 at 8:42 pm #482673The Theme Builder feature of Elementor cannot be used with GeoDirectory because it can only be applied to Pages. GD Archive, GD Details, etc are not pages.
Proof:
1. On Elementor Pro, create a Single Page Template and make it the default for all pages (Display Conditions > Pages > All).
2. Now click on any listing from GeoDirectory and see that themplate was not applied.April 24, 2019 at 8:55 pm #482677I meant “Display conditions > Entire site”.
April 24, 2019 at 10:26 pm #482695The developers have been alerted.
April 24, 2019 at 11:06 pm #482705Can you elaborate on your reply?
April 25, 2019 at 7:48 am #482753What version of Elementor and Pro are you using?
The developers are testing now.
Could you please share a link to your site along with WP Admin credentialsin a private reply so we can take a look at the settings? Thanks
April 25, 2019 at 6:50 pm #482897Hello,
I tested this with the latest Elementor (pro) and it seems to work fine, the only way i could make it not work was by setting a custom page template for the GD Details page (normal WP settings). So please check these settings first:
1. GD Details template > Page attributes = “Default Template”
2. GD>Settings>Design>Details>Page template file override = Auto.If that does not help i would need to take a look myself.
Thanks,
Stiofan
April 25, 2019 at 6:56 pm #482898Steps to reproduce:
– Create a header on elementor, display options Entire Site
– Create a footer on elementor, display options Entire Site
– Create a Single Page Template, display options All Singular.Every page on the site has a header, footer, and is formatter according to the Single Page Template.
http://testsite.kinsta.cloud/test/GD’s detail page is also correctly formatted with a header, footer and according to Single Page Template
http://testsite.kinsta.cloud/places/morimoto/However places, categories, locations and everything else isn’t.
