    Hi,

    1. How do I disable the “Near” (Location) part of the search filter – my directory is not local

    2. Is it possible to replace the slideshow functionality with just a featured image (just like a regular blog post)?

    3. Is there a way to have breadcrumbs?

    4. I’d like some custom work done – are you available for that?

    5. Is it possible to hide the “View” dropdown so users can’t change the view?

    6. Is it possible to delete / deactivate the default “gd_place” ?

    Hi byalik,

Thanks for your post. Please allow me to answer your questions accordingly.

    1. You can switch it off in GD > Location > “Enable location search autocompleter?”

    2. You can edit the “Details Listing Page” https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/details/ and replace the Gd > Post > Images shortcode with the below.

    [gd_post_images type="image" ajax_load="1" slideshow="1" show_title="1" animation="slide" controlnav="1"]

    3. Follow the instructions here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/yoast/#breadcrumbs

    Thanks

A few more follow up and questions:

#1 – I don’t see this option in my admin area. See attached

    5. Is it possible to hide the “View” dropdown so users can’t change the view?

    6. Is it possible to delete / deactivate the default “gd_place” ?

    1. If you mean remove the Near search field completely, it can be hidden with custom CSS. Examples are here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/

    5. You can hide the view by either removing GD Loop Actions or hiding it with custom CSS

    6. It is possible to hide it on the site by removing all listings and categories from the Places CPT.

For #1 – Kor said there is a way to disable it so I’d prefer to do that than hiding it with CSS?

5 – Can you please provide a reference to materials? I don’t see anything in your docs/guides about Loop Actions

    1. No, CSS only
    5. GD Loop is what we call the shortcode that displays ‘the loop’ which is a wordpress concept, all the posts that belong on a page.

add it to archive or search archive templates. it has only one param for layout.
