Hi Folks
Following on from this,
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/sorting-by-package-adding-weight-to-sorting/
We have this added
https://dev.shoppingonline.ie/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=gd_shops&page=gd_shops-settings
but it does not seem to be working.
We want to sort all our listings by
Free,Bronze,Silver,Gold, Diamond,Platinum
So Platinum is the highest listed.
Many thanks
Scott

You can add a ‘my_custom_field’ to the listing and use a custom number to sort them

Please see below response from my dev.
“I think that’s exactly what I set up here?
Thanks

August 21, 2019 at 7:31 pm #504211Yes, sorting by package will sort by the package ID.
However, it appears that you have removed GeoDirectory Pricing Manager plugin, so, sorting by package ID won’t work at all. The package field should not appear on the sort page at all, but was probably retained because it is active.

We have installed this but unfortunately it’s still not sorting correctly.
Kind Regards

To sort by price package id
Consider rebuilding your price packages in order by ID such that “Gold” has ID 20, Silver ID 15 etc so that sorting by package ID (descending) achieves what you want.

1. When you visit this url https://dev.shoppingonline.ie/shops/category/clothes-shops-mens/
The shops randomly change.
We want the shops to be ordered by package
Platinum 1st
Diamond 2nd
Gold 3rd
Silver 4th
Bronze 5th
Free 6thAugust 22, 2019 at 10:13 pm #504466Looks like it is working now.
Is there an issue?

I am not to sure whats going on here, we imported the data a few weeks ago and most of it was ok, we have another ticket open on data that was not imported, but the packages were fine. Now it looks like the data is all messed up after doing two things
1. Installing GeoDirectory Pricing Manager plugin,
2. I also installed packages hereas i was not sure if this needed to be done.
I have changed StrawberryNet.com to Platinum and as you mentioned its now showing at the top.
So i will ask my dev to do another data import.
Before he does this can you
1. Confirm i can remove these packages ?
2. Can you come back to me on this ticket
I did update it a few days ago but my last update is not showing so i have updated it again.
Thanks
Scott
August 23, 2019 at 10:28 am #504552Please hold off on question 2, we are doing something on our side that might resolve this.
Please can you answer just question 1 ?
Thanks
August 23, 2019 at 4:41 pm #5046091. If those packages are used for the sorting, then no they cannot be removed and still keep the same sort. The link you sent goes to the shops page. I am not sure what you are asking.
