Hello:
1. Can you advise where the box is located that enables turning on business hours?
2. Is it possible to modify the business address from this:
Elm Street, Canaan
Litchfield County
Connecticut
06018
United Statesto this:
123 Elm Street
Litchfield County
Canaan, Connecticut 060183. Although the address is listed correctly in the add new place page, the address listed here is incorrect, how can i fix that?
ThanksSeptember 27, 2019 at 7:19 am #510500Hi Lampshade,
Please allow me to answer your questions accordingly.
1. You can add business hours in the custom field settings here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/#settings
2. Kindly refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/design/maps/#gd_post_address
3. Not sure what you mean by this, could you share links and screenshots?

2. Number is not a separate address part, so, it would be up to your listing owners to enter that number first in the street field.
3. You can merge locations in the Locations tab -> Cities (subtab)
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/location-manager/
4. Use the Location manager settings to allow “Multiregions”
September 29, 2019 at 10:40 pm #510791Pricing manager is installed and active, it’s not working again.
An error message appeared indicating that I had to install BuddyPress for GD plugins to work properly. I did then this message appeared:
WARNING: BuddyPress hijacks the slug
search
, GD search will not work until you update the GD search page slug to something different. Edit page.
Business Hours:
By following the links you provided I have to install 3 or 4 more plugins, plus Woo commerce, set up a paypal account for something I’m not selling and read a dozens pages of text and instructions. My life is not dedicated to maintaining GD plugins or fixing all the problems with this program. If there is no direct method and easy method to setup business hours, why am I wasting my time with this upgrade? This just the beginning of issues with GDv2. I’d like to have this up and running this week, not waiting and going back and forth with tech support requests and consuming weeks at a time.
Where do I enter cities and counties? That seemed to move to a new tab somewhere.
On the page of a particular vendor near the bottom there is a clickable box under custom fields, “add custom field” I click it and nothing happens. WHY?September 30, 2019 at 9:11 am #510840If you do not want to sell listing, then you can safely deactivate pricing manager.
Buddypress and GD Buddypress are optional, as are all addons, so, disable them if you do not need them.
To change the search slug, visit the GD Search page and change the slug.
Cities should not be entered directly. They will be created automatically as listings are added. You can add, edit and merge them in – GD – Settings – Locations (tab) – Cities (subtab)
Custom fields – Please share a link so we can check it out.
Thanks
Alex

Thanks for your reply. You don’t need GeoDirectory Dashboard plugin now as it is integrated into GDv2. Are you still having issues with the search?

I don’t know how to update the GD search slug, can you offer suggestions? Thanks

Unless I am missing the obvious answer, I’d need to know what is changed to what?current URL: http://neag.communityporches.com/search/
What is the new line I am supposed to enter here? Clicking the edit button opens this link for me to change, but no hint as to what the new URL is supposed to be.October 5, 2019 at 7:56 pm #511746Hi lampshade,
Thanks for your reply. I’m actually referring to your message above as listed below.
An error message appeared indicating that I had to install BuddyPress for GD plugins to work properly. I did then this message appeared:
WARNING: BuddyPress hijacks the slug
search, GD search will not work until you update the GD search page slug to something different. Edit page.
So, what you can do here would be to edit the slug and insert maybe “gd-search”. Could you give it a try?

The issue revolves around the “edit” button not working properly. When it finally worked, I was able to fix the search issue on that page and the places page.
Thanks for your help and patience. -
