But I have been having this MADDENING problem lately…
I log in and then one of 2 things happens:
–either there’s no admin bar at the top of the screen, so there’s no way to get to the dashboard OR
–the admin bar IS there, but ANY LINK I click on in that bar just takes me to the “My Account” page. I cannot get to the backend at all.
This is in Chrome. And the only way to fix it has been to dump cookies. Also, if I switch to Firefox, it seems to work just fine.
This happens in more than one theme (I’m currently using Listimia, but I tested on another theme and it still did the same thing), and I tried deactivating all Chrome extensions and that did nothing. I tried deactivating all plugins and reactivating them one at a time and the problem seemed to go away and didn’t seem tied to any of them, but the problem came right back the next day…so essentially it only worked temporarily, similar to the dumping of the cookie solution.
This problem is driving me MAD!! I don’t want to have to switch to Firefox permanently as I like syncing my bookmarks in Chrome…but if I have to, I guess I will…but if this might cause issues with my customers too, I’d really like to solve this!
This has only been happening maybe a week or 2? Fairly new problem.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas?
