    Since the last updates (V2) the featured listings on the home page are now listing Featured several times.

    Featured across the top
    Featured underneath
    and If Featured Listing Yes at the bottom after qualifications.

    See attached image.

    Is there a way of removing the last one as this is not really needed.

    Also

    Prior to changing over the software to V2 the Featured item was not included in the package and therefore I could add as appropriate. Now it has to be included in the package and users can select this themselves when they add their listing. As the client charges for featured listings this is not good.

    If I take the Featured block away from the package then it also disappears from the listing altogether when I try to edit and select the listing for featured..

    What needs to happen is that my customer has the option to upgrade to feature the listing and not the customer in the easiest way possible.

    Hope I have explained myself but let me know if not clear.

    Hi Eileen,

    Thanks for your post. Just inspected your Website and I believe that you’re trying to remove the “Featured” badge as shown in the attached screenshot.

    You can refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/featured-listings/#badge-setup that explains how it’s being added and maybe you can reverse the process to remove it.

    No, its not the badge its the writing underneath where is says

    Is featured Yes

    The badges are fine.

    Also I need to know how to remove Featured in the package so that only admin can select not customers – as explained above.

    To remove the “Is featured Yes” open the CPT -> Custom Fields -> Featured and remove the “Listings” value from the option “Show in extra output locations”.

    At this time for GDV2 the featured field is controlled by the Price Package settings. The developers are considering a manual override for that but it has not yet been implemented. So, for now that would be a customization outside of support.

    Hi Alex

    If I do that then, as explained in my original post, it then takes it off everywhere and I cannot then have featured listings on the home page.

    It is a pain having it controlled by the price package settings because my customer charges extra for featured listings!

    I just want to remove the wording

    Is featured Yes? which is completely superfluous because it already has 2 banners saying Featured.

    It was not there prior to the recent upgrade.

    I have removed it from Therapies > Custom Fields > Is Featured > Show in extra output location > Remove “Listings page”

    I have added task to allow admin users to manage featured even without package.
