    Hi!

I currently have a free Geodirectory WP site which I’m looking to upgrade to a pro/ paid version.
However, first I want to make sure that I will get access to the required functionality.
    What I need is:
    1) Purchase of membership (credit card + paypal payment) basket functionality.
    2) Members (by automated login credentials) get access to the GD map homepage with locations. These locations are hidden for non-members.
    3) Members can check-in on locations and rate these?
    4) For non-members the GD homepage map is either blurred (to a degree non readable) or only shows like number of locations in eg. Denmark, UK, Norway, etc?
    5) For non-members: is it possible to show either a post or a paragraph in the home page section where the “latest places” are?

Also, is it possible to easily convert the site to an smartphone app?

Would it be better to go with a different website builder than wordpress for above requests?

    Best regards, Asger

    Hi Asger

All of the things you asked can be achieved by adding a membership plugin to your website as well as GeoDirectory, for example s2member.
GD charges for listings, not for users.
You will need WordPress to be able to use GD.

    Thanks

The video is from the old version V1.
If you just installed the latest version, it will be V2.

    V2 documentation is here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/

    Thanks

I don’t know about that particular site, but, if you are looking to create more complex layouts on your pages you can try using a builder:

That layout can just be achieved with the standard WP block editor, using the “columns” block, which allows you to divide the page in the 2 columns first and then add the map etc, and then 3 columns with further content.

    Thanks

    Great, thanks guys!
What about the “listing” drop-down menu to the right? (bestcampsites.eu)

    Best regards, Asger

    Not sure what you mean?
The marked left one in the image is because the Custom Post Type addon is used.
The marked right one in the image is because the Advanced Search addon is used.

    Thanks

Exactly the same principle … or seek assistance from the membership plugin for that
    Thanks

I guess my question is where to include short code for the GD maps?
