I’ve been through the documentation, and I believe that we have the Stripe payment gateway setup properly, with both keys, the webhook, Live Mode (both in GeoDirectory & Stripe dashboard) and Activated in GD. But payments are not going to Stripe. (While there are a few paid listings on the site, they are from when the client initially wanted to use PayPal).

Unfortunately, this client is not getting very many listings very often, so it’s hard to test the issue. It also happened a couple of weeks ago.

What else might be causing this issue with Stripe payments?

Here’s my issue from before: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/issue-with-stripe-plugin/

Please note: this time I have confirmed that the user was trying to make a payment via Stripe, and could not complete the transaction. I’ll gather more info from him on what exactly was happening, but there does seem to be an issue with the Stripe feed.

The user sent me the image of the error they are getting, and I have attached it.

The error says that stripe is in test mode, but I have verified thatStripe is in live mode in its dashboard, and that in the GD dashboard, Stripe is both Live and activated.

Why is the user getting this Test mode error?

    Hi Bet,

I’ve flagged this for Stiofan, however he’ll need to have a look at the website to tell you more.

Would you mind sharing a link and credentials?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please inform your customer that they are using the wrong keys in the settings, you can tell this as they are prefixed with “sk_test” where as the live ones are prefixed with “sk_live” (you can’t just change the prefix, you need to change the whole keys)

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Stiofan, the keys that were in GD were the example keys right under each input. I would NOT have put those in — I have enough experience to know that wouldn’t work. I wonder how those got in there.

I’ve updated to the correct api keys, and will have the user try again.
