Hi,
I’m looking to use the plugin and want to know initially if there are any compatibility issues with the Valenti theme. Site is http://www.leapinghare.org and would be looking for add ons as well in order for businesses to load their own information with different payment levels available.
Cheers
SimonNovember 5, 2015 at 12:38 pm #59087Hi Simon
You might need to make a few simple tweaks to Valenti, but that’s all.
Do a search for Valenti on the forum to find some tips.
Users can add their own listings by default, but you will need the Payments and Prices addon to be able to have paid listings: https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/prices-and-payments/
ThanksNovember 5, 2015 at 3:31 pm #59095Have searched and found a few tips but I’m getting a transparent background issue which I have seen on here but can’t seem to resolve. The map is also not loading as expected. Sure it’s something basic that I’m missing but any help appreciated.

I’ve tweaked what was needed in theme compatibility, but there is still something that is messing with the maps. Only in the front end, because In the back end they are working flawlessly. This is strange because normally, if there is a conflict, they just don’t work anywhere.
Could you please try to disable all non GD Plugins momentarely to see if the problem goes away?
That would give us an idea of where to look at to provide a fix.
Let us know,
Thanks
November 6, 2015 at 7:40 am #59174Given that a go and still seems the same – Thought it would most likely be events plugin but seems not. Will hopefully have a little more time over weekend to look some more but any other thoughts would be good.
Cheers for the help so far – And hopefull can get it resolved and working.November 6, 2015 at 5:14 pm #59219Please keep us posted.
Thank you
November 6, 2015 at 5:41 pm #59225On the front end when looking at a place page if you type a place name on the map for directions it just says address not found – Is it possible that something just hasn’t installed correctly?
November 6, 2015 at 6:09 pm #59232Resolved I think – The dummy data needed an actual address entered. Nothing in the address box on place pages back end so will now see if other bits work OK
Cheers for helpNovember 6, 2015 at 7:25 pm #59242Are GD categories shared across the site? Can GD categories/tags be picked up in other WP widgets?
November 6, 2015 at 7:30 pm #59244It depends on the widget, it must be capable of picking up custom taxonomies. (tags and categories of custom post types.)
Thanks
November 7, 2015 at 4:20 pm #59295Hi,
Have added a couple of categories but display seems odd on ‘location’ home page – Have I missed something or set up incorrectly?
Cheers
SimonNovember 7, 2015 at 4:34 pm #59300Hi,
if you mean Business & Finance and Accountant, you are missing the map marker icon.
Did you upload one for each new category?
Let us know,
Thanks
November 7, 2015 at 4:37 pm #59301Didn’t upload a new one but did link to same one as attractions – Shows in the category list OK
