As the title suggests when I go to my site http://www.tradesrater.com at first it displays normally, I can see popular listings etc, a message box then appears stating do I wish to be geolocated, which I answer ‘yes’ to because I do want to be geolocated, but then when the page refreshes I just get a page that states ‘nothing found’ my search box has gone, popular tradespeople have gone the text I have displayed above the search box has gone. I didn’t use to do this, it used to work fine, however I have had someone do some developing on my site recently making some changes, however I have spoken to him and he has stated that this error is nothing to do with him or any of the work he has done. Are you able to help me understand why this is doing this, have you seen this happen before?

    thanks in advance

There is something really wrong, this is not a GD URL at all:
    http://www.tradesrater.com/location/%20andheri%20east/%20andheri%20-%20kurla%20road/srilankan%20airlines/

Go to http://wpgeo.directory/ and geolocate, you’ll see a URL like
    http://wpgeo.directory/location/your-closest-country/your-closest-region/your-closest-city
    That’s how it should work.

    1. I reset your WP Permalinks to the correct setting but that did not fix it.

    2. Most of your listings are not in a category, every listing needs to be in at least one category:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/dos-and-donts/

    3. You are not using a child theme, so I don’t know which are new things added in your functions.php file.

    4. I can see hardly any of your locations follow the correct setup like country > region > city. They all have to be in that format as suggested by the Google API for things to work properly.
So I added the location switcher to your menu so you can see the mistakes: for example “best colony” is not a country.
You will find that once you clean up your locations and add all listings to at least one category, it will work again:

Thanks Guust, I thought the developer hadn’t done things quite right, I have deleted a load of the test profile’s now and have asked that the category issue be sorted. The page actually displays now when it geo locates you, however it states that I am in ‘Reading’ which is actually about 40 miles from my current location, is this issue cause by work that my developer has done, or is there a simple fix for this?

    thanks in advance
