Hi,
we just opened the “Feature request system”. A page where ideas can be shared and voted by other members.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/
If in this wishlist topic you listed what you’d want in a single topic, in the “Feature request system” each feature requested should be a separate entry, so that each request can be voted individually.
Entries with multiple feature requests will not be approved. Please also make sure that what you are requesting hasn’t been submitted by someone else already, but vote for the existing request instead.
We believe this tool will help us a lot understanding what the majority of members need and to prioritize our tasks.
Please don’t hesitate to submit your ideas and vote for other’s requests!
Thanks
The Team
July 11, 2014 at 5:26 am #8160Paolo, is it considered a conflict if ambitious developers take on a project form this list?
Just checking.
July 11, 2014 at 4:07 pm #8196Not at all Jeff, but if we think it is necessary and the community want something from us, we might decide to develop an addon doing the same task and compete…
That’s the only conflict that I see it could come up…
July 12, 2014 at 12:15 pm #8270Some Feedback on Requests Feature
Can you include this link as a sticky on this forum? Do we need to go to another URL to add requests?
What’s the situation with votes – it seems these are restricted to a number per user. I’m a GD member but used all my 4 or 5 votes up already – how do we get more?
Feature requests are moderated before being added – I get why to a certain extent but thats like saying if we dont like your feature request we wont put it to the vote 🙂 How about letting the votes decide?
July 12, 2014 at 1:57 pm #8274Hi,
All the answer to your questions are written in the info text of the request system.
Requests are moderated mainly to avoid spam…
ThxJuly 12, 2014 at 4:26 pm #8281BTW, this post is sticky, but I’ve added reference to it in the forum sidebar too.
Thx
July 12, 2014 at 9:39 pm #8314Hi Paolo,
How do we know what addons you’re currently working on and addon requests you decided to accept or reject? Do we have some kind of a rubric or guide so we can at least determine if we should wait or just hire a developer?
I noticed the highest vote so far is only 14.
July 13, 2014 at 3:48 am #8327Can’t see anyway to get more votes over at requests. I have zero votes left having cast my handful already as a premium member. How/where is this explained.
July 13, 2014 at 3:50 am #8328It was in the main post, but Paolo added it to the sidebar:
Each month you get 5 votes to distribute. You can choose to use all your votes for one idea you really like, or spread them across between several ideas 🙂
July 13, 2014 at 4:08 am #8329Thanks Jeff..can’t really see the point of 5 votes in a month to determine what’s popular..if 10 new requests are added per week then you need to save votes over a month and then decide which to vote for but this doesn’t reflect how popular a feature request is just that you had to choose where to use 5 votes! It also assumes each request will have a time limit before voting stops.
July 19, 2014 at 8:28 am #9069Hi Guys
Im working with a company called evvnt http://www.evvnt.com to generate my site with extra income from users who submit an event.
evvnt works by listing an event on 100’s of other targeted event listing sites saving the event manager hours listing their event on each one
evvnt offer a % of the revenue to the original site owner through which the event was listed
It would be good to integrate the evvnt API with WPGeoDirectory so that every member has an easy way to register with evvnt for an account and users when listing an event get the option to publish through evvnt and earn a commission
I can put you in touch with the developers at evvnt?
July 19, 2014 at 2:38 pm #9101You can add the request in the request system…
ThxJuly 20, 2014 at 7:23 am #9165Hi Paolo,

rog
July 21, 2014 at 4:08 pm #9250Hi,
I’ve approved all requests made so far and I’ve published few requests from you.
I haven’t seen one for the GT to GD tool that is anyway already under construction.
The only limitation are the number of votes (5 per months) if you already used your votes, you can’t add new requests till next month.
Thx
July 22, 2014 at 8:10 pm #9470Hi Paolo,
I didnt know that, I really need the GT->GD Tool very urgent and I know its already in the box, so please let me get a chance to get this done…best rog
