Hi Kiran,
Well, I’m pretty sure I’ll never completely understand the difference between all these pages – but I thank you very much for your help, yes! the regions are indeed working! hoorah!
cheers!
L.And my answer is yes! I’ve just altered the language files so the users understand what the fields are for..
thanks so much for all your kind and attentive assistance 🙂Kind regards,
L.ahhhhh
you are SO right.. I probably knew that when I installed this site 2 years ago, but have long forgotton.
so, how do I make those two fields more transparantly, and obviously reflect their purpose.
I mean, this is a thing that came to me from the site administrator, who sent it to me from users’ complaints. Can I go into the language files or something and change the word “Search for” in the first field, to “Search for Name or Key Word” – and the second to “search for location or town”
??thanks so much
L.no.. in the “search for” box.. see atachments – before hitting enter, and after
thanks 🙂
Lit does work when I choose other cities.. like Brighton or London – but not when I choose cities like BIRMINGHAM or Cambridge –
Is it a coincidence that these two cities have places in the usa with the same name ??
L.
Hi Stiofan.
Thanks.. but it doesn’t work when I go to: http://www.ays.org.uk/find-a-yoga-teacher/
and type “cambridge”
I get no records found
LHey Paolo,
I actually haven’t touched a thing – so no.. I didn’t change the permalinks settings at all.. or even think about them, or do anything at all.Lana
ooops.. forget this.. I fixed my own problem – and I can’t see how to delete this post
Hi Stiofan,
No.. there are a few close by, and one right in cambridge. When you zoom in on the map you can see them
screen-clip attached.Marianne Irwin is listed IN Cambridge, Margaret Shanks is very close by
I see I need to fix the styles on the pop up boxes.. I’ll go in and do that right now
Lana
This reply has been marked as private.Hi sorry! I was away for a while and now I’m getting back to this.
So.. I can’t switch the map settings – I’ve got it focused on the middle of the UK as a default otherwise it expands to include the single turkish listing and the uk is just a blob of colour – my client prefers the default view of the majority of the UK postings.
When I type in Cambridge and hit enter, I get “no records Found” in spite of there being listings near and in cambridge
I’ll send you admin details in a private reply
LanaHold on.. sorry, i’m just getting back to this after being away for a while,
I just did some updates.. and suddenly this isn’t working any more
back to the 404 error when I choose regions :'(
heeelllp
thanks!
LanaRight, so I can’t set that feature because it would eliminate the 5 non-uk entries then?
So, back to square one. how to type in Cambridge and hit enter – without it not finding the listings in cambridge and centering the map in the ocean off the coast of africa
🙁
L.That works a treat! what did you do again? where did I go wrong?
🙂
