Thanks Paolo
Thanks Paolo,
I wasn’t aware of the response policy – I was seeing activity on plenty other topics and have a sensitivity due to an earlier post (a while back) that was ‘accidentally overlooked’ for rather a long time.
This reply has been marked as private.… just a thought – I am using openstreetmap not google maps – would this make a difference to pin bounce?
This reply has been marked as private.I tried changing the permissions to default (always ask), and when I am asked and reply yes, it says ‘your location is currently unknown’.
Chrome works fine.
Guess I will put this to one side and look at later.
Thanks
The action suggested is:
“If you’ve given Firefox permission to always give your location to a site and later change your mind, you can easily revoke that permission. Here’s how:
Navigate to the site to which you’ve given permission
Go to the Tools menu, then select Page Info
Select the Permissions tab
Change the setting for Share Location”That is precisely what I had done previous to posting my last response, which pointed out:
‘Access Your Location’ is set to ‘Allow’ under permissions.”Any other ideas?
Hi Paolo,
how do I do that? ‘Access Your Location’ is set to ‘Allow’ under permissions.
This reply has been marked as private. All done and back to normal.
Thanks Stiofan 🙂
Thanks for the kind offer Stiofan – I’d really like learn how to do this myself though.
I have downloaded and unzipped GDF 1.2.6 on my computer – and in CPanel found the folder ‘GeoDirectory_framework’ which was updated yesterday – however, this folder also includes folders/files that are not in the unziped GDF1.2.6 – e.g., there are folders named ‘bbpress’, ‘buddypress’, functions’ geodirectory’.
Were these folders all included in error and can I just overwrite the ‘GeoDirectory_framework’ folder on my wordpress install – i.e., delete all in that folder, upload and unzip gdf1.2.6.zip? Or are some of them necessary (I have bbPress and Buddypress installed).
Thanks,
Adrian… or step-by-step instructions – presumable using file manager in CPanel?
Hi Paolo,
will there be an update soon for others like me who are affected (and not confident to do this manually)?
Thanks,
Adrian
… yes, that was the plan – it looks so similar .. let’s see …
Thanks
I appear to have the same problem after all upgrades this morning – my site now a total mess. see http://www.loopyfood.net, which was full screen width and had blue background (I don’t at this stage want to rollback to earlier version to show you how it should look in case there are security implications).
Looks like Whoop is taking over GDF – top admin bar shows link: ‘Whoop Options’ – clicking takes me to GDF Options, with rider: “Whoop is a theme designed to be used with the GeoDirectory plugin”!
Will post separate ticket (with admin creds) if necessary, but in the meantime waiting to see the outcome of this ticket…
