    Hi Kor

    The primary plugin Geodirectory plugin and all of the child plugins are working fine. The problem I am having is that I am prompted to update the child plugins but when I try and do this, I get the error message ‘Update Failed: ( more info ) – Download failed. Unauthorized’. It advises me to renew my licence but it is some time until my licence expires. If you can advise where I now need to put my licence keys maybe re-entering them will resolve the problem.

    Regards
    Dan

    Hi Guust,

    Following the update to version GeoDirectory v2, I appear to have lost the ability to add my licence keys on the plugins page.

    Hi Guust

    That’s fantastic thanks, I was applying all of the settings in the Custom Fields Tab. I now have the information I require and the log can be closed.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Guust

    Many thanks for resolving this, for future reference, please can you advise where you set the title. Was this a generic setting that affects all posts or was it only related to this specific post?
    I have the same issue with this tab: https://www.attractionsnearme.co.uk/places/themeparks/blackpool-pleasure-beach-1/#tripplanner it would be great if I could rectify it myself.

    Also, I am still unable to make the icons relating to the ‘History’, ‘Top 10 Rides’ and ‘Video’ tabs appear. Again I would appreciate some assistance with this. I am trying to utilise the font awesome class.

    Regards
    Dan

    Hi Kor
    I traced what was causing the 500 Error. Internal Server Error following my 1st attempt at the upgrade. It may be worth adding this to your guide as it may assist other users. In my theme functions.php, I had a line of code which redirects the login page to the Deo Directory login page.

    /* Redirects the Login page */
    add_filter( ‘login_url’, ‘my_login_page’, 10, 2 );
    function my_login_page( $login_url, $redirect ) {
    return geodir_login_url();
    }

    By removing this piece of code, I have now successfully upgraded GeoDirectory to version 2. I am just waiting for my site to pick up the associated plugin upgrades but this is taking a long time, is there a way to upgrade them manually?

    Many Thanks
    Dan

    Hi Kor

    I followed the guide. First I backed up my site, Geo Directory custom css etc and then I disabled all caching applications. Following that, I disabled all GEO Directory related plugins and themes. The only difference is, I clicked the button in WordPress to do the plugin update. I would presume that this is where I have gone wrong, I will try again using the zip file for version 2 and confirm whether or not this works.

    Many thanks

    Hello

    I have gone on to my FTP server and reverted the GEODirectory plugin to V1 which has brought my website back online, but I will require some support to establish what caused the upgrade to fail.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Alex
    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I resolved my current issue by following the instructions in order to ensure that my site is linked to Facebook correctly. I can now import place details once again, but I am unclear on exactly what I need Facebook to Approve in order for me to be able to continue using Social Importer after 1st August.

    Hi Stiofan

    I traced it back to a cache issue at it was impacting a number of pages. I only use GDBooster for my caching so I hit the clear cache button and this didn’t resolve it. I have now disabled GDBooster and all pages are loading fine, albeit slightly slower than with caching turned on.

    Regards Dan
