Hi Alex,
Please post the snippet you are using here so we can take a look at it.
OK Diane, please make a new topic and we will try to help you with that.
I see, I will flag this and we will check into it.
What country are you connecting from? You can share that and any other info that might help us diagnose the issue in a private reply.
Redirects would help folks who are trying to visit the old link, but your site will only show the new links.
To change the name of a CPT, the listings and images and categories must be exported from one CPT and imported into the new one.
For more information about that, see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/
Also see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-place-and-places/
Hello Diana,
you can add the snippet with the Code Snippets plugin.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#snippets
In the future please create a new topic so we can help you.
Thanks
Hello,
a menu was not yet chosen in the settings at :
GD – Design Navigation
also, events were not yet selected in the choices below
Please check it now and adjust the settings to your liking.
All GeoDirectory price packages are per listing. A membership plugin may get your closer to where you want to go, like S2 member.
For example, a user would use a package to purchase a listing, thereby gaining the role of “Author”. Then you could add a custom menu link to add an event, and protect that link with a membership plugin so only “authors” that are logged in can see the link.
You can contact a GD Expert here if you need hands-on help setting up something like that with 3rd party plugins.
This reply has been marked as private.I see that your plugins are out of date.
You will need to install WP Easy Updates to add your licensing and enable automatic updates.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/installing-addons/#updates
We can take a closer look once the site is up to date.
A couple things you could try:
Move the widgets out of the Top widget area and into the upper part of the Content are to give them some padding on the side, or add some padding with CSS.
The Latest Places widget could be set to list mode to just show one entry per line.
What other things might you like to see on the page?
Please send a link to the page so we can take a look.
Hello,
yes, you will need to install WP Easy Updates to add your licenses and to provide automatic update for the GD plugins. Instructions are here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/installing-addons/#updates
Once the plugins are updated, let us know if the other issues persist.
Hello,
are you saying you cannot reach this site?
It seems to be working ok. Let us know!
You can also download DS and SD from WP.org:

this post explains why, and what to do abou tit:

the default WordPress functionality only allows one theme at a time, per site.
Maybe there is something we can do? Can you share the page URL and tell us what you would like to achieve there?
Sometimes we can provide an example that can help you get started with customizing your site with CSS.
That should, in theory, be possible with CSS, to add an image, but you might need to use a different type of field like a single checkbox, but the solution is rather complex and would need a web designer’s skills.
Each custom field has a unique CSS class. The designer would examine the code, inspect the output CSS class, and set an image as the background.
You can find a designer here: http://geodirectoryexperts.com
Our developers recently made a snippet for normalizing checkbox output that might help, you can find that here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/custom-fields-checkbox-add-class-to-item/#post-439368
Again, for hands on help with this customization you should contact a web designer.
