GD plugins are ‘up to date’ with the current version of WP and all GD plugins work together ‘as a team’ using the latest version. The problems you are experiencing are most likely due to out of date plugins.

Those should be replaced with the account menu drop down on sign in.
Can you show us on your site?
If you have added the menu links yourself you may need a plugin like “Members” to hide them.

Generally speaking, only the Owner or Admin can edit listings. Is that the use case here?
Please provide a tester user with assigned listings, as well as an admin user so we can take a look at the issue.

The Region is decided the response from the Google API, generally speaking. Google strives for consistancy, but, they also have submissions from users.

You can certainly create another CPT “Person”, and then link that person to the “Places” listing.
