No, that shouldn’t be a problem. Did you use any HTML in the tabs? Of the template? If there is some incomplete code in there it could cause this to happen.
Please share a link to the page so we can see what’s happening there, and share WP admin credentials if we need to check the settings.
Hello,
It can sometimes take up to several hours for a new key with new billing to become active. That said, let me ask, did you use the built in button to generate the key?
Restricting the key will protect you, but you may want to leave restrictions off while trying to make it work, then once working, add those back in.
For using the forms, if you want to use Geocoding you will also need a geocoding key, which should not be restricted.
Read through our help here already? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/
Please share a link to a page where we can see the issue so we can check the error. You can see it for yourself, too, using chrome tools to show any errors that are coming from Google. Press ctr-shift-I to show that inspector, then choose the “Console” button to show the errors.
You can change the author. If you don’t see the author (listing owner) field there, when editing the listing in the backend, then open up the screen options and make sure author/listing owner is checked, then look for that at the very bottom of the form.
Let us know how it goes
Are you seeing the address, city, zip, region, and county? You should see lat and lon there as well.
December 10, 2019 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Looking to add event date on the event cpt archive list template #520866Try this
Open the menu for Events -> Settings
Select the event dates field, and then find “Show in extra output locations”
Select “Listings”, then saveVisit your events page and it should show up if you have used GD Output Location in the Archive item template.
If not, then add GD Output Location to your archive item template.
You can certainly hide the Search for field with CSS:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/#gd_search
The search bar can be used on any page, and search results are returned on the search page template.
Hello,
please try re-saving permalinks as described here:

Nope, you got it. Neat, right? 🙂

You can find those strings in the theme language file.
December 10, 2019 at 11:40 pm in reply to: Location Page – Map Zoom Error and Listing Sorting Error #520860Hello,
On your Location page, you can use any combination of GD Listings to show listings. You can even set them as featured only. However, the sort order will always be distance, nearest first, just like near search results.
For shortcodes, either ” or “” will work.
For the map zoom, that is usually best left to automatic, as it will zoom automatically to include all locations, with the center of the map being the center of the locations returned.
If all the locations are in the west side of the radius, the zoom would seem to be off center, yes.
Several are required, like title, category and address. Tags can be marked admin only, that will hide the field from other non-admin users.
That can be done with the Near Me button.
Add the element as a shortcode or widget, it is the one called GD Location Near Me
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/#gd_location_near_me
Clicking the Near Me button works the same way as selecting the “Near Me” option in near search field. If your site is secure, the user will be asked to share their location. After submitting a location they will be redirected to the location/near/me page and the search radius will be applied to the location page template to show listings within the radius.
Hello,
GeoDirectory doesn’t have a setting to hide the admin bar.
GDF does, though. Check under the GDF Options in the wp backend:
GDF Options – Header styling options – Admin Bar’s and Mobile options
For cases of “N additional” of X we recommend using another CPT.
The example is Special Offers. You can use the built in field, or you can add a special offers CPT and let users link their place to the offer to show it on their main listing.
CPTs don’t all have to have address, so, you can disable the address for that post type and make filling in the information nice and easy.
