With the advanced search addon enabled you can visit the places -> search tab and add additional select fields or dates to the search bar, or other custom fields to the advanced search options.

You are using the GD Endpoint for the CPT Archive. Check the menu, I added another one. Basically it is a feature, not a bug, because it is a choice. You can use the GD menu link, or add a custom menu link like the one I just added there for you to see. They look the same but behave differently. are you using Elementor Pro? Pro is required. You have to create a theme builder template and apply it to the GD CPT Single.
