This still seems like a bug to me. The way you are describing it, it sounds like the default value setting of the Featured field in Custom Fields will always be overridden.
If that is the case, perhaps the setting should be removed from the Featured field to avoid confusion.
Thanks. I think I’ll just create a duplicate of my default package called “Is Featured” and just upgrade packages.
I am sorry. I’m likely making things more confusing.
In GDV1, in Prices and Payments, my default package has “Is Featured” set to “No” (see attached).
I am only trying to achieve the same in GDV2.
You say “the setting for the default value is overridden by the price package settings.”
So, how do I set the default price package settings so that Featured is unchecked by default but not excluded?
It sounds like you are saying that is not possible.
Hi Stiofan,
I looked at that post but it didn’t seem to solve my problem.
I don’t want to exclude the “Featured” field.Under CPT Settings>Custom Fields > Featured field> Advanced settings, I have the default value set to ‘unchecked’. And yet, when I go to add a new listing, the value is checked. I need it to be unchecked by default.

ok. Thanks
Hi, I was having this same issue after upgrading to the new version of UsersWP. Unfortunately it has messed my search form (Supreme Directory) as well.
Thanks. The hosting company “excluded a cookie” from Varnish and that fixed it.

I am still hoping to address my issues with the distance range input on the Near Me dropdown panel. Should I open a new support ticket to address that specifically? The input doesn’t appear to be including into the search. The search results end up the same no matter what the range is set to.I’ve tried in Firefox, Chrome and Safari for OSX, as well as iOS.
Ok, cool. Thanks very much, Stiofan.
