Thank you for the explanation.
How difficult would it be to make it so that the listing owner can temporarily take their listing offline, and come back to publish it at a later date?
Thanks Paolo,
That is the answer. I was hoping for a different one but, it is what it is. I appreciate the response!
I may be over complicating it by providing TMI.
A listing has an improper description. We set that listing to draft mode and ask the owner to fix the description. They edit their listing with the correct description and click update.
We now want that listing to be live again without having to go to the back end.
So, when a user updates a listing that is in draft mode, it goes back to published. No admin access. The act of updating their listing re-publishes the listing.
Yes?
Thanks for the response Guust. I really appreciate it.
I have another question maybe you could answer for me.
I am importing a bunch of listings from another site. The listings do not have all the info we want our members to place into their listings so, we have the import set the listings to Draft Mode. The goal is for the owner to update their listing and then, once they review their changes, publish the listing by clicking the UPDATE NOW BUTTON.
The listing should then go live. However, this process doesn’t take the site out of draft mode as expected.
Under DESIGN>LISTINGS we have PUBLISH as the default mode so, I am not sure what else to do.
Please advise. We just want the listings to go to Publish Mode upon update. I think that I worded it wrong the first time.
