Was wondering the same. Continue to build out listings on GeoTheme and looking to do re-design of site. Trying to figure out if I should switch to the Directory plug-in, but would need to transfer over existing listings.
Trying to compare GeoTheme to GeoDirectory before I make the switch. Couple of questions:
1. When adding a place/location, can the data fields be set up to allow for an address as well as latitude/longitude. My site has locations that don’t have street address and I use the lat/long settings in GeoTheme to add. When I was going through the templates for GeoDirectory, that didn’t jump out at me.
2. If a user adds a place/location on the front end for a destination whose city has not been set up in the system, can that user just type in the address and city and will the backend automatically set up the city as the place is added from the front end? Hope that makes sense. Right now, I am using a widget that Sara Wright wrote to do a city lookup when adding a place in the front end so that the city is automatically setup in the database.
