Actually,
I think it’s just the user role. The one I gave you is editor and if I remember correctly editors are set to redirect to the home page.
Just use the new credentials above to log in and address the original issue.
Thanks!

Thanks again.
resolved.
Thanks for the input Guust but I don’t see access to …
GD > Custom Post Types > Place Settings (or other CPT) > Edit > Reviews Tab Label
I see GD > Place Settings but this takes me to the fields in the sidebar of the listings detail page NOT the TABs that site below the slider on the details page.
Am I missing something?
Thanks!!
That’s pretty much what I did the first time other than the folder being on the desktop.
I clicked “save” first. Poedit “flashed” as if saving settings/changes but I saw no .mo file.
Then I click “save as” but that just overwrote the existing .po file… no .mo.Only when I clicked “compile MO” did it worked for me.
No worries, I accomplished what I needed to. I’m sure I’m just overlooking something stupid.
Anyway, thanks for all the direction and for introducing me to poedit!
I read that above but when I clicked save as I didn’t see anything. Is this a pro feature? If not, how do I retrieve it? It’s not readily apparent in poedit… unless I missed it.
Thanks Paolo
Got it,
In step 3 instead of “Save As” you need to choose “Compile to MO” so it creates the MO file.
Thanks Paolo!!!
Okay Paolo,
I appreciate your patience. Here’s what I did…
1. I downloaded the geodirectory-en_US.po file to my computer and opened in poedit.
2. I “translated” that first instance of “Reviews” to “Leave a Review”.
3. I “Saved As” so it would overwrite the original file. (little confused here because I though I was supposed to end up with .mo file once saved??)
4. I created a “languages” directory in the “wp-content” directory
5. Created a “geodirectory” directory in the “languages” directory
6. Uploaded the “geodirectory-en_US.po” file and refreshed my page…No change.:-(
What did I miss/do incorrectly?
Okay Paolo,
Thanks for the quick response.
I’m not quite sure what/how to edit the Reviews tab name in poedit. I have the file open and did a search for “reviews” but have quite a few results.
Reviews
%Reviews
No Reviews
Reviews (this is a second instance)
GD > Recent Reviews
reviews
reviewCan you direct me as to which to edit so I can change the tab name on the details page from “Reviews” to “Leave a Review”?
Thanks for your time Paolo. I really appreciate the guidance.
Hey Paolo,
Thanks for responding.
The background image I’m referring to is the “Home Background” image under …
Appearance > Customize > Home BackgroundI need it to be responsive and resize depending on the viewport size. The only class I see is backstretch
Backstretch is jQuery that dynamically-resizes background images. The image will stretch to fit the page, and will automatically resize as the window size changes. I’m not really familiar with it other than knowing it exists. I guess it would be similar to the effect of using “background-size: contain;”??
It’s nothing I installed. It’s part of your theme. Uses a class of “.backstretch”.
After some poking around I read a couple “solutions” but none that seemed to work for me.
1. Maybe jQuery is being called twice. (I don’t know how to tell)
2. Using the following to target the different min-widths and min-heights…@media (min-width:800px) {.backstretch { min-height: 400px!important; }} @media (min-width:1000px) {.backstretch { min-height: 450px!important; }} @media (min-width:12px) {.backstretch { min-height: 500px!important; }}
Anyway, the image does cover the background but it does not resize depending on view port size. I was hoping you or someone on your team could help 🙂
This reply has been marked as private.Hey Paolo,
Got it to work.
Weird really…
I used this syntax to target the search page…
.search .content{ width:100%!important; float: none!important; }
Then I went back to Designs >> Search and toggles the left sidebar on which shifted everything to the right. Then I toggled it off and everything went full width?
Just FYI… another quirk I found was that when I turned the left sidebar on it did exactly what you’d expect and added space on the left for content. But when I unchecked “Show the right section of the search page” it shifts the whole “page” (not just the content within .site-inner) to the left (see screenshot).
Anyway, just wanted to let you know it was resolved so you didn’t waste time on it.
Thanks Paolo!
