Открываете её в фотошопе и попробуйте сделать размер макета (не изображения) = 40×50 px, сохраняете в формате .png, заливаете обратно, обновляете, проверяете

This reply has been marked as private.I once had the same problem, it turned out the other plugin was in conflict with GD, I turned them off in turn and checked…in my case it was an WP optimization plugin.
