Hi Stiofan,
yes, I’m using the Ctrl (command on Macs) to unselect, and it seems to work on the preview page, but when I click “update” all custom fields return to the original selections.
It seems I can only change the selection inside one custom field or add new selections (if I selected CF1-B, I can unselect B and select CF1-A or even CF1-A and CF1-B), but if I simply un-select CF1-B and leave that custom field without any selection, nothing change after the update and the CF1-B will still be marked as selected.I tried both option: Multi-select with “select” and “checkbox” display types without success.
Thanks,

I would really complain more about having the same picture on every listing, maybe 10 or 15 times…What if you let users assign a different “featured image” for each day of the recurring event? Day 1 – Pic 1, Day 2 – Pic 2… (after 7 pictures, you could start from Pic 1, cause it’s not so easy for normal users to find 7 good pictures ;).
Just my 2c,
GianniHi Guust,
yep, Google doesn’t help, and I guess users will use the “set address on map” button overriding any new “country/region” I’d add to the database. So, disregard that “solution”.If only I could get a URL that calls all listings from a short list of provinces: the Ministry of Health would love to see a map that shows all Hospitals in the border region with Haiti (7 provinces), or only the north-west border (3 provinces). Then I would set custom links on the menu for that.
The other option I was thinking about is to set 1 Custom Field to make users select 1 out of the 9 regions every time they submit a listing. What I don’t know if I’ll be able to use the result as a URL to put on the menu, or if I have to select the “region” in the advanced search.
Thank you for your help,
gianniOk 😀 I guess that’s not possible 😀
So, another question, trying to find a workaround:
– How can be shown, at the same time and in the same map, all places from more than 1 region? (for example, from region 1,3,5,6,7,12 – I remember GeoTheme could do that).
It would be ok for me to have this from the DataBase, cause I only need the URLs of those “super-regions” and use them as custom links on the Main Menu… the problem is: I don’t know how to get into the DB 🙁Thank you,
gianniHi Stiofan,
my bad: it was the same with GT and did’n remember to check the video documentation for GT (in that video you said WP sometimes hides CPT options in menus).Thank you so much,
Gianni
Hi,
I’m trying to set up the Mail Menu and I already set up Places and Events via custom links, but I cannot see Places and Events options (listings, categories and tags as I can see in Joe Green screenshot), while I’m only getting those options for my own CPT (Proyectos).
Am I missing something?Thanks,
gianniThx Paolo,
gianniHi,
I’m a bit off the topic here and maybe repeating an old question, but I’d like to ask you about the 3 level categories: after reading about the 3 level sub-menu, I tried creating:
– 1 Cat
– – 1 sub-cat
– – – 1 sub-sub-cat
… and it works not only in the menu but also in the map (I couldn’t verify if it works in the Advanced Search Form, as the nested categories option is not available yet).As this issue is a game changer for me (instead of having 5 CPTs sharing the same Cat and Sub-Cat, I can have 1 CPT, 5 Categories and 2 levels of Sub-Categories), does it have any counter-indications for the correct functionality of the GD plugin (and its addons)?
Thanks,
gianniThx Paolo, I’ll try to find out a work around for letting subscribers set the expiration date of a “project” or other CPTs.
Best regards,
gianniHi Paolo,
is it possible to create Custom Post Types that look and behave exactly the same as the Event Type, so they could benefit from the Event Plugin? Or new CPT are like the Listing Type? For example: I want user to create short Events and long time Projects (using two different Post Types so they don’t mix together on search results and having different categories), but Projects must also have a start and end date like Events, being stored on “past projects” tab when they expire, etc… I guess that could work fine for Job listings too…
I’m asking you this because on Geodirectory > Event Settings there’s a “General” tab for setting the “Default event filter” to “All-Today-Upcoming-Past”. This tab is not showing on the new CPT I just create.
Thanks,
