Guust, can I please get an update on this? I really need to be able to produce maps that shows all entries in a given category.
Need a little more clarification — there is no “Search” tab in settings. : /
I expect to find it in “Advanced Search” but it’s not there.Ohhhh…it’s in GD > General then in one of those little text-only sub-tabs called Search.
I didn’t fake that, by the way…even when reading your instructions I didn’t see it at first. Gives me an excuse to mention that I really dislike the new Settings UX. V1’s settings were SO much slicker and more intuitive. The new system with tabs that contain little text-only sub-tabs is so rudimentary. Is that a function of it being beta, or is this the way it’s gonna stay? : /
Finally, thanks for the good news on implementation of user-definably proximity, that’s great!
This reply has been marked as private.Sorry to report that upgrading to 5.2.2 did not fix the problem.
Still experiencing same error message when I attempt a Social Import as a non-logged-in user.
No multisite is not enabled.
I was advised to wait on WP 5.x but will upgrade now hopefully that will fix!
I’m gonna add this here instead of firing up a new thread because you specifically mentioned non-logged-in users, so it seems like it’s likely they are related.
On my Add Event page (https://cornholecentral.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event)
I myself am able to use the Social Import function just fine…when I’m logged in.People have been saying it’s not working for them. I just tried it NOT logged in
and it does not work, with behavior and same error message they’re reporting:This reply has been marked as private. Thanks for discovering that. This makes sense as a bug I’ve missed, as I only rarely pop into an incognito tab to see how things look and work for non-logged-in users.
If there is a any domain-related setting in wp-config, I didn’t put it there. Plugins can’t write into wp-config can they? In any case, no there shouldn’t be.
FTP credentials to follow…
When you say “I confirm it happens with only one listing only too” do you mean that you are experiencing the same non-functionality of my map pins, and error message? South Florida Cornhole’s preview and link work fine for me. If you ARE seeing the same error message I described/screenshotted above, can you please help me fix it?
Regarding my other question, the ability to show all listings on a map even if there are more than the max number of posts I’ve set in WordPress. In the other thread Alex suggested a shortcode (“The archive map has a param to show all, all_posts=”1″) and now you’re suggesting a setting. But I can’t figure out how/where to edit the map shortcode or set that setting.
To be clear, I’m talking about a main category page like https://cornholecentral.com/clubs/ default view of a category with 250 entries. That page (among others) is defined by /gd-archive but that page’s content is a set of shortcodes that define only the area of the page with search bar, listings, etc. The map half of that page is not defined by a shortcode I can see, nor by a “widget” where I can change the setting.
please delete
Sorry, I was trying to conform to a previously expressed preference to not spin new questions into existing threads.
For better or for worse, corroboration. Another “Chrome on PC” guy having same exact error experience.
(ignore my question about displaying all entries on a map, by the way, I’ll post that as a seperate thread)
Thanks for looking. First, he said same thing happens on search results pages which have only a few listings on the map/page.
Secomd, is there a way to make it so main pages like this include all listimgs in the map without displayimg their entries in the list/grid view? Im fine paginating the list/grid but when a club/event isn’t on the map because its not in the first X number of listings displayed, thats a problem.
